The candidate will provide leadership and work instruction to a group of workers in order to complete a job.
Foremen are expected to:
Provide leadership that results in a safe work culture.
Responsible for the safety of the crew under their direction, and understand the importance and legal liability of the role.
Coordinate the crew to produce quality work in a productive and safe manner.
Required to be involved and supportive of any disciplinary decisions and understand and consistently apply the Western Urethane policies.
Accountable for following project plans, schedules, and ensuring crews under their direction perform activities to meet production goals.
Support an inclusive harassment free work culture and are accountable for the adherence to policies and procedures by the crew to ensure a respectful and inclusive work environment.
Accountable for ensuring the completed work meets Western Urethane and customer quality standards.
Prepare and complete documentation and reporting for Safety, Quality, and Production as required by Western Urethane and/or Customer/Job Requirements
Assist/complete other duties as assigned.
Experience and Skills
3 to 5 years experience as a qualified and competent trades-person
Valid drivers license and certificate in Leadership Management/Supervision
Valid certificates of training as required for materials, equipment, and various safety items
Well organized. Strong written, oral communication, and effective listening skills.
Analyzes problems and makes sound decisions in a timely manner based on objectives, risks, implications, and costs.
Tactful and mature demeanor with well-developed interpersonal skills including the ability to work well with diverse personalities.
Excellent attention to detail with emphasis placed on quality.
Knowledge in the roofing, insulating, and building envelope field.
